What a day.
On Saturday 9th May, we welcomed over 520 attendees across two packed sessions for the 5th Birthday of Clackmannanshire’s Whisky Festival — and honestly, we’re still taking it all in.
From the moment the doors opened at Alloa Town Hall, there was an incredible atmosphere throughout the day. Familiar faces returned once again, alongside so many new attendees discovering the festival for the very first time. Add in a fantastic mix of returning favourites and brand new exhibitors, and it became our biggest and most exciting Clackmannanshire’s Whisky Festival yet.
One of the highlights across both sessions was our masterclass hosted by Paul from Hunter Laing, which proved hugely popular with ticket holders keen to explore and discover something a little extra special throughout the day.
The soundtrack to the festival once again came courtesy of Miller & O’Neill, whose live music brought the perfect atmosphere to the hall. We’re delighted to say they’ll also be joining us again very soon in Dundee.
Food throughout the day was provided by Base Pizza, and to say they were busy would be an understatement — they completely sold out by 7pm!
As always though, what truly makes our festivals so special is the people behind them. Our exhibitors travelled from across Scotland and beyond to pour drams, share stories, chat whisky and create the welcoming atmosphere that SLanj Events has become known for. The whisky community continues to amaze us year after year.
Most importantly, together we continue to support our wonderful charity partner, the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, helping raise awareness and funds for Motor Neurone Disease research while celebrating Scotland’s incredible whisky heritage here in Clackmannanshire.
